All our Shutters are manufactured using state-of-the-art techniques that use unique methods, such as transverse multi-ply stiles. We are so confident in the quality of our shutters and blinds, that we offer up to a 5-year warranty. See the BellaVista our guarantee page for more information. If you have any queries regarding the technical details listed here, please don't hesitate to call us
The wood used for our Shutters is kiln dried twice, and our Shutters have an engineered core, adding strength to the shutter style and making them unlikely to bow or warp. We do not compromise on the thickness of our louvres, as thinner louvre's, although less costly to produce, are much more susceptible to warping
The stiles are the side bars of the shutter panels. Rather than producing these as solid pieces, the wood is cut into strips that are then bonded back together in opposing layers for greater strength and to reduce likelihood of warping
We use mortise and tenon joints between the rail and the stile. These are far stronger than dowel joints and will minimise movement between these elements
Cheaper Shutters use cheaper paints and stains, and apply fewer coats. We use six coats of your chosen paint or stain, and, to ensure that the Shutters we supply are less susceptible to fading and yellowing, the final layer is UV protected
We offer our Shutters with a large choice of frames, rather than attaching them to battens. Not only does this give you the choice of how you frame your window and match it with your décor, but it also gives a much stronger and appropriate fit for ease of installation
Top-quality steel hinges, magnetic fittings and matching screw heads are available in a choice of colours. Drop bolts and safety latches can be fitted to shutters and framework to provide security
We use the best quality marine-grade stainless -steel staples to attach our tilt rods to our Shutters. In addition, the tips of the staples are coated in a bonding agent to make sure they remain secure for years to come
All rails and joints are doweled and glued for strength and will not crack, warp or split to promote a long life span
Magnetic catches are countersunk within the frames and the back of the shutters to assist closure. They also remove the need for handles and knobs
Handles and knobs can be fitted for a completely customised look
For a completely professional finish, customised screw caps in the stain or colour of your shutters will be placed over fixing points to hide screw heads
Drop-pin hinges are used on all Shutters for easy removal from the frames when required for room redecoration or in case of emergency
